[Lekooks] LCUUC parking lot closure DO NOT USE THE WOOD!

I just learned this year that several of my trees are affected and
dying. Didn't realize until one day when I found literally hundreds
of large pieces of bark on the ground under one of the trees, and a
knowledgeable friend took a look and gave me the bad news. The only
good part is that the worst of the trees attracted a Pileated
Woodpecker, only the third I've ever seen (one in Door Co. and one in
the Carolinas). BIG woodpecker!
Since I have never brought in any firewood, I guess they flew in?
Assuming they do fly, then I would think humans may be able to slow
their spread, but not stop them.
Sad for the trees. :-(
