George probably knows more on this ( please chime in) but I did a quick check on Wisconsin regulations on wood with the ash borer and we cannot move such wood out of the quarantined area of the southern half of Wisconsin. The Wi website recommends leaving the wood near where it was cut for 2 years, after which all the ash borers will have left the wood.
