Dear Interfaith Friends and Family,
"Onward With Hope: Inspiring Courage to Create the World We Want."
The Peace and International Issues Committee of the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee announces the virtual return of its ever popular annual program: Tuesdays-in-March. The lectures take place each Tuesday at noon in the month of March. Each week features one or more speakers addressing the relevant topics cafefully discerned by the PIIC Committee members. The theme this year is a hopeful one, looking at ways to understand our social and spiritual caste system, how to reconnect a divided nation, finding hope in spiritual practices, knowing what the pursuit of justice means to communities of color, and acknowledging the needs of those returning to their communites after incarceration.
Speakers this year include, Philip Chard, retired CEO of Empathia, Rev. Karen Hagen, Pastor of Tippecanoe Presbyterian Church, Eloisa Gomez, Chair of Comité por el Voto Latino/Latinx Voter Outreach, Minister Byron Johnson, Associate Minister of Progressive Baptist Church, Jessica Boling, founding member of ElevAsian, Pardeep Singh Kaleka, Executive Director of Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee and Zeidler Group, Rhonda Hill, founder of Race and Faith, Jeanne Geraci, Executive Director of the Benedict Center, Terri Strodthoff, Executive Director of the Alma Center, and John Serrano Floyd, Co-facilitator at the Alma Center.
We hope you can join us this year for one or more of these lectures. Once you register, a receipt will emailed, and an event link will also be emailed before the program dates.
