Join our state-wide "Transportation Call-in" today as the legislature hammers out the transportation budget. The vote is scheduled for next week, so this is a critical time to make your voice heard.
 
 Call Script:
 Hello, my name is ____________, I’m from ____ , and I am calling about the transportation budget. 
 
 I’m calling to ask you to reconsider Wisconsin’s transportation spending priorities.
 
 In this state budget, I urge you to reject any new highway expansion projects. In particular, please reject the Budget Committee’s $20 million spending for the expansion of I-94 East-West in Milwaukee. Governor Walker rightly cancelled that project in 2017. I’m also concerned that the Budget Committee wants to borrow almost $100 million for the Zoo Interchange.
 
 Highway expansions are a waste of taxpayer money and would put us further into debt. Instead, please fund local priorities by redirecting those $20 million money to improving Wisconsin’s public transportation systems. Investing in public transportation helps me because _____________________ .
 
 Please build a transportation system that works better for all Wisconsinites. Thank you.
