> James Balk is a long-time Supermarket Legends volunteer. Once in a while he encounters people who say, “I don’t vote.” He usually responds, “What if no one voted?” It gives them thought, and sometimes they will agree to register. James believes if people register to vote early, they are more likely to vote on Election Day.

> MATC Now – Note from Dave Weingrod
>
> "As we all know, some people are resistant to voting. This is especially true of 18- to 24-year olds, the very people who attend MATC. They need the information, purpose and motivation to vote. You can help us this December.
>
> We are staffing tables at MATC downtown from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, December 9-19. Four people are needed for each shift.

> Contact Dave Weingrod, weingrod at sbcglobal.net, 414-416-4708, if you can help.”
>
> Don’t forget that you can shop at the Christkindl market after your shift!

> Hunger Task Force
>
> The Hunger Task Force has an office at 723 W. Mitchell Street. Martha Collins, the outreach director, would appreciate if Supermarket Legends did voter registration there. It's a place where people come in for assistance to apply for food aid and to receive emergency food supplies. The clients have a proof of residence document with them, and the venue has a copy machine we can use. Our plan is to try one day a week with shifts of two to three hours, starting Mondays in January.
>
> If you are interested in this venue, please contact Terri Lowder, tlowder996 at gmail.com.
