[Lekooks] Volunteers needed: Hope Center dinner!

Hello everyone,

Our turn to serve dinner at the Hope Center is coming up on Wed., Dec. 27.

We'll need 6-8 volunteers, who can arrive at 5:00pm, and we'll be finished by 7:00. The food will be ready for serving, so all we do is serve it, then a quick cleanup. Some will serve the food, cafeteria-style, while others will roam the dining room with milk, water, etc.

We've been doing this for years, almost always with the same small group of volunteers, so this is a good time for others to join us. I'm urging newer LCUUC members, and those who haven't previously done this, to join us. It's a winning experience for everyone: Our neighbors in need (about 100 souls) receive a warm, healthy dinner, and the volunteers always leave knowing they've helped their less fortunate brethren. 

Please respond directly to me. Once we have our group, I'll send more details. There's usually a car pool leaving the church about 4:30.

Oh, our youth are encouraged to join us; in the past we've had entire families participate!
