  Registration is freeGreater Milwaukee CROP Hunger Walk is this Sunday, Oct. 9
 Donate canned/packaged food AND/OR fresh garden or store produceSite: McKinley Park shelter on lakefront just south of McKinley Marina, 1750 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.
 Time: Free registration starts 12:15 p.m.; 2-mile and 5-mile walks start promptly at 1:30 p.m.

 People of many faiths, races and cultures will gather at Milwaukee’s lakefront for the 31st annual Greater Milwaukee CROP Hunger Walk this Sunday afternoon, October 9.

 This free event draws hundreds of individuals and families. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett is expected to speak at the start of the walk. Features include 2-mile walk around lagoon or 5-mile walk into downtown and back; snacks; live music and performances by Salsabrosa Dance Company; Kohl’s Design It! Lab for kids; Buddy the Wonder Mutt balloon-maker; obstacle fun course. The Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee has organized these CROP Hunger walks for 31 years, collecting donations of food and raising monetary donations for international and domestic hunger/disaster relief through Church World Service or other organizations designated by the donors, and to help pay walk expenses.
