Hi All,
I'm sending this via Lekooks so it gets out to more folks :)
For those interested in either being a spectator or if you'd like to walk with LCUUC in the parade, this is the route provided by the Hartland Police Department...
The Village of Hartland 2025 Hometown Celebration Parade is scheduled for Sunday, June 29th, 2025.

The staging area for the parade will be along Hartbrook Drive, which will be closed between Merton Avenue and Rae Drive at 11:30 a.m. The parade route will begin on Merton Avenue just south of the bridge over Hwy 16 and proceeds south to E. Capitol Drive, turns west on E. Capitol Drive through the downtown, turns north on North Avenue and ends just south of the Hwy 16 bridge. Parade participants will be able to disperse from that end point.

The entire parade route, including the staging area, will be closed from 1:15 p.m. until approximately 4:00 p.m.

The public can access the businesses on Hartbrook Drive from Sunnyslope Drive during the entire parade. We appreciate the public’s cooperation as we take measures to provide a safe and secure event for all.
Photo of the route included with this email.  Hopefully it won't be as hot as this upcoming weekend.  Please plan for warm weather (stay hydrated, wear sunscreen/hat, seek shade when needed).  The Hartland parade staff will be providing some bottled water, but we will also have a cooler with water for LCUUC parade participants.  LCUUC folks will head to the staging area after the service on 6/29.  If you ordered an LCUUC t-shirt, please plan on wearing that, otherwise light colored shirts are recommended.
For decorating/float building this Sunday, 6/22, some of us are coming in earlier (between 8:00am and 8:30am) to get started before it gets too warm.  The majority of what we need to put together will be done in the Social Hall, so less exposure to the heat outside.  Ray Grosh is letting us use his trailer for the parade (thanks, Ray!) and we do have a vehicle to pull in in the parade, itself.  Lois R. is bringing a few tarps to cover the float for the week between decorating and the parade the following Sunday.
All are welcome to participate in either (or both) decorating this Sunday and being a participant in the parade next Sunday!
The biggest help is for anyone able to donate candy for Family Ministry's candy drive.  There is a big basket in the foyer for you to drop off your donations.  Costco/Sam's Club large mixed bags are perfect, or anything similar.  Please NO chocolate or anything with nuts.  Lollipops, jolly ranchers, smarties, sweet tarts, etc. you get the idea!
Thanks Everyone - hope to see you soon!
