My problem with Jeff is that he talks a good game but he has never really
addressed the state funding for schools which has left school districts to
rely on referenda. He also doesn’t address the problem of state mandates
with no funding. He will have just as many problems with these issues as
Jill had. He doesn’t have any great ideas that he puts forward as to how to
deal with the  Milwaukee problem - huge gap in performance between whites
and the rest. She has at least tried to deal with it, to no avail. The idea
of putting cops in the schools came from the legislature with no funding.
She has tried to get the legislators to provide the funds. She has
experience, at least. He has served in a mostly white suburban district. He
says he worked in Chicago - but - he left for the white pastures of Sun
Prairie.

I have a friend who is a very well-respected teacher in the KM District and
he has come out strongly in favor of Jeff Wright. He commented that Dr.
Underly has let the teachers and students in Wisconsin down and he is
extremely disappointed in her actions and performance in the role.  I trust
his opinion.
