Esther and I viewed the first session of this 6-session course on "Ecology as Scripture". It is being presented by Dr. Leonisa Ardizzone, a science professor at Vassar College and a consultant for UU Ministry For Earth. It will be presenting various aspects of global warming as viewed by various world religions along with the opportunity to connect with other UUs about how to deal with it. There were 100 participants in the first session tonight.

[TIME ZONES HAVE BEEN UPDATED]
UUMFE is excited to launch our first "long course": Ecology as Scripture. The course will meet SIX TIMES, so please commit to attending all classes (although we do realize that things come up that may interfere with attendance)! Class meets on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm EST/ 6 pm CST/5 pm MST/4 pm PST. The class will go for one hour for each meeting. Dates are: January 31st, February 7th, February 21st, February 28th, March 21st, and March 28th. Led by Rev. Dr. Leonisa Ardizzone, we will explore interfaith/interspiritual teachings and practices that will guide us into personal, local, and global responses to climate chaos and environmental injustice.
