Bill, that's a gorgeous quilt. It's a wonderful family treasure. Perhaps a store specializing in quilt supplies would know a good place for cleaning. There's a store in Fennimore. Also, maybe the museum would have a lead.

Hello dear Lekooks family,
Does anyone know where I can get an antique quilt cleaned?
This is the first quilt my mother ever made, the year she was married (1948). For its age, it's in very good shape: No fraying, loose threads, tears, etc. Some age-yellowing, and relatively fragile...
My mother made many quilts during her life, winning dozens of awards at quilt shows. At the Racine County Fair, over the years, she won so many awards the fair's board of directors decided to name an award after her. No one in our family knows how many she eventually made: She gave most of them as gifts.
I'd sure like to get it carefully cleaned before it's passed on to her grandchildren!
All love,
Bill L
