[Lekooks] Degenerate Art Exhibit

We took in Rev. Scott Prinster's talk at UUUC Waukesha Sunday, where he warned of the threat of fascism coming to America. Then in the afternoon we went to the Jewish Museum Milwaukee on Prospect Avenue and took in their exhibit on "Degenerate Art" ("Entartete Kunst") on how the Nazis in Germany staged an exhibit in 1938 of the modern art that they subsequently banned. The Museum also has an exhibit on Jewish people in Milwaukee, plus an exhibit on the Holocaust which includes interviews of survivors. A very worthwhile afternoon, which we recommend. The Degenerate Art exhibit runs through next Sunday,
As for Rev. Scott's message, the fascists are already here banning books and music in our schools, so the JMM exhibit is especially pertinent. Must see, imo.
