There is a critical shortage of poll workers in every state, including
Wisconsin. I have worked at the polls many times - it's not difficult,
they train you, and you are helping maintain our democracy. They are still
looking for poll workers in the City of Waukesha (there are plenty in my
Town of Ottawa). One can only work the polls in the *county* in which they
reside. If you can help, please consider contacting Katie Panella below.

to me
Good afternoon,
I am reaching out because you have expressed interest in being a poll
worker for us. We are in the process of scheduling for the November 8th,
2022 Election. Our shifts on Election Day are 6am-2pm, 1:30pm-close, or
6am-close. The polls close at 8pm, however, there is clean up and paperwork
to be completed after the polls close.
We are also looking for Absentee Processors. Absentee Processors are
assigned one location on Election Day. The shift begins at 11am and will go
until the Absentee Ballots for the assigned location is processed. Absentee
Processors will have training in-person, with dates TBD. Absentee
processors will also meet Saturday, November 5th for numbering. If you are
interested in Absentee Processing, I can go into more detail with you over
the phone.
The City pays $9.50/hour by Direct Deposit only or you can volunteer your
time.
Please let me know if you are still interested or if you have any questions.
Thank you,
*Katie Panella*
