[Lekooks] Family Promise Host Week - Time Sensitive -Volunteers Needed to Supply Food Please

Hello All,

I received the information about our upcoming host week late Wednesday
afternoon.  Our shelter apartments are full and Family Promise has placed
two families in the new overflow shelter in Waukesha.

We will be providing food ( three dinners only) for:

Apt 1:  Single women's shelter:  2 women
Apt 2:  Mom and two children, son age 9, daughter age 7
Apt 3:  Mom, Dad and two sons ages 5 and 3
Apt 4:  Mom with two daughters, ages 24 and 12

(The families in the overflow shelter are on a different meal donation
plan.  If you are interested in donating food to the overflow shelter at
ANY time please contact me. For them, we would sign up through "Meal
Train".  I plan to learn more about that opportunity in the next few days.)

Church of the Resurrection will provide half of the food and we will
provide the other half.  The other VC, Laurin, and I will be making one
meal each and for the rest......

WE WILL NEED:

1.  One meal that will feed 3 adults and 2 children.  No pork and no peas
please.  The meal will need to be portioned out.  I can provide details to
the person who volunteers.
2.  Two Quarts of milk
3.  A dessert - bars or cookies -  type to be divided among the apartments
4.  Some fruit - bananas, grapes, apples (anything but kiwi) also to be
divided among the apartments.  Need not be large quantities of fruit

I do apologize for the short turnaround time for these items, but we just
received the info late Wednesday afternoon. I will need to make
arrangements to get all of the donations on Sunday so that I can deliver
them on Monday.

Please call me if you would like to contribute any of the items above.  I
didn't know how to put this in a Sign up Genius!?  If the item you wish to
donate is spoken for, I will let you know.

We are still in this strange cycle of "hosting" where we do not get to
interact with our guests.  It seems a bit detached, but I have been told
that our guests are wonderful and very grateful for the meals.  :)
Apparently the 3 and 5 year old boys love to give hugs!!
