[Lekooks] AB 299 Important Wisconsin Proposed Bill

When Ric and I traveled to San Francisco earlier in September, we knew ahead of time that they would be checking our vaccine cards.  Just about every place we went in to (restaurants, museums, and such) not only checked out vaccine cards and ID's, but there were a few places where they checked them twice before we were allowed entry.  It never bothered us - I'm glad they were being so careful.  I'd much rather know that I'm in public with people who took the time to get vaccinated (and hopefully not sporting fake vaccine cards).  San Francisco had it right - it would be nice if more places would adopt similar policies.  Just my two cents!

Interesting how GOP legislators aren't going after the "no shirt, no shoes, no service" laws nor the no smoking in public places law.

Subject: Re: [Lekooks] AB 299 Important Wisconsin Proposed Bill We recently spent a weekend in Chicago and every single place we went to checked your vaccination card (must have 3) and photo id was required.  People were all wearing masks unless eating or drinking.  No one had any problems with this process....or, more likely, if they did have a problem with it, they stayed home or went elsewhere.  Fine by me!!
It was so refreshing to see people wearing masks everywhere.

Dear Friends,I encourage you to let your senator in Madison's legislature know how you feel about the following proposed bill. It is legal and common for businesses and venues to demand those entering wear shoes and a shirt or not be carrying a weapon.  There are many similar laws: wearing a seatbelt, having your car insured. Republicans are not out there attempting to overturn these rules. Personally, I feel demanding proof of vaccination against a deadly disease before entering a business or venue is great. If you don't like it, find another business or venue that doesn't demand you to be vaccinated. BTW, Odd Duck, a great Milwaukee restaurant, demands proof of vaccination and a matching photo ID to enter. It's a tiny place and making a reservation is a good idea.Fran BillsProof of Vaccination (AB 299)
Showing a vaccination card has become a requirement to enter some businesses and venues. The bill would prevent any government entity or business from requiring proof of the Covid vaccine for someone to receive services of that business.
