Hi, everyone

 

I just want to follow up on this message regarding ShopWithScrip and say that it’s worth taking a look at, if you haven’t already.  

 

Basically, you continue to shop at your favorite stores with gift cards from SCRIP, and LCUUC receives a rebate/percentage of the gift card amount.  Personally, I am not interested in keeping track of a bunch of gift cards and I’m not a big shopper, so I currently have only one gift card for Pick ‘n Save.  I specifically chose it because it’s “reloadable” and I grocery shop regularly.  When I spend all the money on the gift card, I simply go online and add more money to it.  I typically put $500 on the card when I reload it, and every time I do that LCUUC gets the 4% rebate which is $20!  It’s a pretty easy way to help raise funds for the church.

We are coming up on the start of another school year, though of course, much has changed in this pandemic strained year and a half. Our SCRIP program is going as smoothly as can be expected. We are encouraging families to join up and use the service to help LCUUC’s fund raising efforts.  Back to school items may be purchased from popular vendors like Kohl’s and Target, and everyone buys gas and groceries!
