[Lekooks] Wisdom's Madison Action Day

Dear members and friends,

LCUUC works with WISDOM -  our state-wide grassroots organization that
leads religious congregations of many denominations to have a common voice
on issues of social justice.  They are organizing *Madison Action Day on
April 15, 2021*.  This Action Day is an opportunity for WISDOM members from
across Wisconsin to come together around the values that drive our work —
and to share those values and priorities with our legislators as they work
to finalize the 2021-23 state budget.  In the morning, there will be a Zoom
Plenary to center ourselves for the legislative visits in the afternoon.  In
the afternoon, there will be meetings with legislators.  Your involvement
will be meaningful, and is encouraged!  Email me if you have any questions.

April 15 is a little more than 2 weeks away.  That means it's time to be
sure you are registered for *Madison Action Day*!

The morning plenary session, from 10 am to 12 noon, will be moderated by
Joy Cardin (formerly of Wisconsin Public Radio).  It will include
information and inspiration and - if we get the technology right - even a
chance to interact with other WISDOM members from around the state.

In the afternoon, we will be meeting with our State Senators and State
Assembly Representatives, or their representatives. We even have a book
that has been compiled for the day that we'd like to get to you in hard
copy before the 15th.

MOSES is a grassroots interfaith community organization based in Madison,
WI. The mission of MOSES is to build collective power to dismantle the
systems of mass incarceration and mass supervision and to eradicate the
racial disparities in our community that contribute to them.

The Community Organizer is responsible for recruiting and training
