Thanks Meredith, how does Borax work? I have also had diatomaceous earth (silica) recommended. I believe that works by abrading the victims to death with a thousand cuts, like silicosis kills miners..

We have a giant ant hill in our back yard. Back in the "Good Old Days", I would buy a can of Chlordane dust at the hardware store, sprinkle the dust on the anthill, and it would be vacant in a week or so. But you can't get Chlordane any more.
Bret Achtenhage, on his radio show, recommends calling Batzner, but I don't want to pay $200 to get rid of an anthill.

Anybody have a remedy for getting rid of an anthill like this?
