Sharing this for you Uus --
from Building Unity, a partner group sharing actions we can take to advance
justice for the climate, as well as other issues we care about.

The time is now to stop Line 3!

This pipeline would carry tar sands crude oil across sensitive wetlands
and lakes in the area of the Mississippi headwaters, threatening
Anishinaabe treaty lands and adding emissions to the atmosphere equivalent
to the construction of 50 new coal plants. We can not burn this oil and we
need to stop this pipeline. More info at www.StopLine3.org
<http://www.stopline3.org/> and www.honortheearth.org.

The movement to stop this pipeline is growing. Come learn more at either or
both of these upcoming virtual events from people who have taking to time
to join this movement in Northern Minnesota:

June 5–8 Treaty People Gathering in northern Minnesota. More than 2,000
water protectors responded to the call from the Anishinaabe community to
gather for nonviolent direct action against Enbridge’s Line 3 tar sands
pipeline. Those present found it a powerful experience of acting in
community and would like to share their stories with you. You’ll learn
about ongoing resistance to Line 3 and all the ways you can take action, at
home or on the frontlines, to #StopLine3.

Lastly, We need to push President Biden to do the right thing and stop Line
3.

Please encourage everyone you know to take this 2-5 min action:

Go to https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ and simply send a brief message
asking President Biden to “Stop Line 3.” Of course, it may help to add the
important reasons, but if you only have 2 - 5 mins, a very brief note will
be better than nothing. (And, you will be glad that you did!) A brief
sample letter and flyer can be found here
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/155rO2ioemNbi7NTYtEMb1XTMsVQILclNIaStIdmc188/edit?usp=sharing>.
Print and share with your people. If all of us flood his inbox, he will be
more likely to be the climate justice champion that he professes that he
wants to be.

In Solidarity,

Send a message to President Biden:

Dear President Biden

Thank you for stopping the Keystone XL pipeline. Now we need to stop Line
3. It is not compatible with the treaties that the U.S. has with the
sovereign indigenous nations, and it is not compatible with our goal to
pass on a livable world to the next generation.

Sincerely,

Tim Cordon
