I invite those of you concerned about the problem of unwarranted police
violence against Black Americans, and U.S. accountability for those actions
to the international community, to read on....

The International Commission of Inquiry is hearing a number of cases
concerning systemic racist police violence against people of African
descent in the United States, now through Feb. 6. Visit their hearing
schedule <https://inquirycommission.org/hearing-schedule/> for a
chronological list of hearings and to register to observe them. (The case
of WI victim, Jacob Blake, will be heard Monday, Jan. 25.)

Background/rationale, from their website:
Recognizing that killings and maimings of unarmed Black people by police
authorities in the United States escalate unabated and that effective
domestic remedies are either non-existent or exacerbated by the policies of
the federal government of the United States, the International Association
of Democratic Lawyers (IADL), the National Conference of Black Lawyers
(NCBL), and the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) decided to convene this
International Commission of Inquiry.

The Commission will issue a Final Report of its findings for submission to
the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights, relevant officials, and the
public.

Peace,
*Dave*
