Please see below for some messages from our Family Promise of Waukesha
County Executive Director. I was happy to see points 2 and 3 regarding the
2020 statistics and to learn that our first apartment family had a
successful stay and has found housing! The goal is to work up to renting 4
apartments at a time, so we can host four families. We do not have an
assigned host week as of yet. I will keep you posted. -gina

Happy Friday!

I hope your new year is off to a great start! Here is a brief FP update:

*1.) Job opportunity: Case Manager*
Family Promise of Waukesha County is seeking an additional Case Manager.
This 30-35 hour a week role will allow Family Promise to continue to grow
our programs and provide case management for our expanding programs. Adding
the prevention program grew the number of families we served from 21 in
2019 to 34 in 2020 or a 63% increase. Adding a case manager will help put
the foundation in place to allow this program to grow and add apartments to
the Apartment Shelter Program. Could you help us by sharing the link of
this announcement with your network including your congregation, work
colleagues and social media, etc. Thank you!

*2.)Apartment Shelter Program*
Our first family of a mom and two teenage daughters arrived on December 3
and departed on January 6. They are in a great place and have a high chance
for success. This was a good start to the Apartment Shelter Program.

*3.)2020 Statistics*
Between both prevention and shelter we assisted 34 families in 2020. In
2019 we assisted 21. That is a 62% increase in families served. Individuals
served were 127 including 47 adults and 80 children or 63%. In 2019 we
served 88 individuals. 66% were children.

*4.) Volunteer Needs*
Could you make these volunteer needs known to your communities?

   - Apartment Turn-Over

When a family moves out of the Apartment Shelter we hope to turn over and
prepare the apartment for the next family within 72 hours. This would
include: cleaning, making beds, doing some laundry, disinfecting,
vacuuming, deodorizing, cleaning bathrooms, etc. It is our hope to have a
pool of people available who could help turn the apartments over.

   - Data Entry

We are looking for volunteers who would help us create/update a database of
congregations in Waukesha County. This task can be done from home.
Volunteers should be computer literate and have a basic understanding of
google drive and google sheets

Anyone interested in volunteering can contact
