My family takes clothes, food, and furniture to a family shelter in inner-city Milwaukee, called Casa Maria. They take in women and children usually from abusive situations and eventually sets them up in a new apartment with new everything because most arrive with only the clothes on their backs.
We take the donated items down two to four times a week. Items just need to be dropped off at our house. Heidi

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I was trying to find a place that would give the clothing away as opposed to resell it like Goodwill. It seems that a lot of those places are full of clothes right now though. Anyway thanks again.

Lake Country Caring didn’t want clothing when I recently dropped things off. Maybe a temporary thing though.

The Hope Center is great for clothes and they give it to people in need for free.

Hello friends. Two things. My sister just posted on Facebook that the Target in Waukesha lost power overnight and needs to dispose of all of their perishable food. She was asking if anyone knew of an organization that would want to go and get it. This would be very immediate. No need to reply here, but if you know of a place, contact the organization, tell them to contact that Target store immediately. It will go in the dumpster otherwise. This is at least second hand information, but I thought I'd share it just in case it can benefit someone.
Second thing: I have at least two boxes of women's clothing and shoes, some brand new with tags, All good quality/labels and much is "business-casual" appropriate. Hope House is currently full up with clothing donations. Does anyone know of another place I could drop these things off? (Not Goodwill!)Thanks_______________________________________________
