[Lekooks] Yard Signs

Yard signs make a difference! I’ve met the best people by writing those that have them up. The first October Black Lives Matter Learn & Take Action was on this very idea (see below).
LEARN – People who “don’t believe in” the Black Lives Matter movement say that if Black people didn’t resist they wouldn’t be shot. READ this account/comparison and you will have some talking points.
TAKE ACTION – It’s hard to put up a Black Lives Matter sign. In my neighborhood, there are political signs and flags at many houses – by far outnumbering the signs that support my candidate. It takes bravery and conviction in our area to put up a Black Lives Matter sign. Write a personal THANK YOU note or postcard to anyone in your area with a Black Lives Matter sign. (You can address it to “My Neighbor” with a smiley face and their address.) Better yet, put up a sign yourself!
For extra credit: Take it a step further and write thank you notes to those with signs out for your political party. I met my neighbor, 3 doors down, this way. It turns out we grew up 3 doors away from each other in Wauwatosa!

Seeing Biden Harris signs in front of the homes of wealthy folks gives me hope. I am stunned when I see Trump signs in front of rundown homes probably occupied by people who are the most adversely effected by Trump's policies.

I assume we are talking politics and not, ‘please pick up after your dog’ yard signs….
What Dave said, and… A way to ‘clear the air’ or ‘come out’ so that neighbors know where we stand. As example, one neighbor found comfort in approaching me on the subject of politics once our sign was up.

I agree with that. This race is more emotional for me than most
others and seeing the signs and displaying one gives me a positive feeling.

Hi Chris,
For me personally, it serves as a real positive lift to my emotional state to see a sign that aligns with my views. Living in lake country can sometimes feel a bit isolated, politically speaking, and it's reassuring to know I'm not alone.
Much love,

Hello Friends,
I have a sincere question for all of you. What purpose do you think is served by yard signs?
