Sacred Land: Food & Farming
is an eight-session small group program that celebrates our interconnectedness with the land and those who live on it.
Together, participants explore how food and farming practices affect:
the climate crisis,
marginalized communities, and
their own health and spiritual wellbeing.
Food, Faith & Farming Network is gathering a group of 8 – 12 participants interested in exploring these topics with us via Zoom.
For more information about this program click here.

Ecumenical Advocacy Days is an annual gathering of Christian advocates and activists. We worship, delve deeply into the pressing issues of the day, and lift our voices by speaking truth to power on Capitol Hill.
The 2021 theme is “Imagine! God’s Earth and People Restored.†EAD 2021 is an opportunity to support this global movement centered on and led by the people and communities most vulnerable to climate impacts due to historic racial and colonial inequities. Together, we will passionately advocate and reimagine a world that lives out the values of justice, equity and the beloved community.
EAD 2021 will be a virtual gathering, to be held April 18-21, 2021. Registration details will be announced soon.
Resources
Here are some resources that your religious community might be interested in utilizing for your next ecology event! The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee's Partners for Health is conducting a "MyStrengths+MyHealth" survey to help them understand strengths, challenges, and needs of our community. In this survey, you will be asked about a range of topics related to your health status and health care you receive. Example topics include safe at work and home, mental health, caretaking, breathing, nutrition, physical activity, substance use, and personal care. The research survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
To learn more about the "MyStrengths+MyHealth" survey, watch this short video https://tinyurl.com/MSMH-Video
Please use this link https://tinyurl.com/MSMH-Milwaukee to complete the survey. This information will be used to understand community strengths (assets) and needs during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Burials practices are important to both religious and environmental groups. Talk to your family, religious leader, and funeral director about your final wishes.
