Just a reminder to everyone, please do not put salt on our new concrete this year, as requested by our general contractor.
There is a pail of "kitty litter" outside each door for applying to the concrete if it's slippery.
Thank you,
Gerry Flakas

Subject: Protecting our new concrete
The general contractor for our new front and rear entrances has advised us to not apply any de-icer salt to the new concrete for the first year.
I have placed a 5-gallon bucket of "kitty litter" at both entrances. This is to be applied to the concrete if it is slippery - DO NOT APPLY SALT TO THE CONCRETE. Shovel or sweep off any snow, then sprinkle the "kitty litter" on any icy places on the concrete walkways.
Our snow removal contractor has also been advised of this.
Thanks to all for your help protecting our new walkways..
