Thanks, Fran.
Andy (my son) and I have decided that we both want to contribute to
an organization helping families (esp. with children) who will be
suffering from job and income loss.
PBS was showing crazy long lines at food pantries around the country,
and I decided that food uncertainty and hunger were, for me, the best
use of my funds.
I went to Charity Navigator and found that the group Feeding America
has great ratings and keeps non-program expenses to a minimum.
One thing of note: If you donate through the Charity Navigator site
rather than directly to a charity, they charge a fee in addition to
your donation.
My best to all of you,
Bev
