[Lekooks] Tick control using Tick tubes

Months ago, I read about a method to reduce the number of ticks on
one's property. You can buy ready made "tick tubes" OR make your own.
It involves wetting dryer lint with liquid permethrin (a strong
insecticide), then stuffing the lint into empty toilet paper tubes
and placing them around one's yard where mice may be living.
The theory is that the mice use the lint to make their nests and that
the ticks who might be in the nests or on the mice will be killed by
the permethrin.
SO.........I bought a bottle of permethrin and saved up t.p. rolls
and dryer lint. And there it's been sitting ever since!
Long story short ~~ if any of you would like to try this tick
prevention method, I'll give you all the stuff to make your own "tick tubes".
Alternatively, if you could use the permethrin for something else,
you can have my bottle, and I'll just recycle the rest.
thanks,
Bev Braasch
