[Lekooks] Mark Brewer was great

Dear Mark and all other Lekooks,

I am so sorry to have missed the service on Sunday. My intentions were
golden, my reality did not cooperate. Between the animals, the ice and a
broken furnace (I am home alone on a farm) it just wasn't in the cards.
Clearly, the message was powerful. Knowing how and when to share your
personal story can be difficult and scary. I love our congregation for
being a safe place to land.....no judgement, just compassion and kindness.

I have the honor of being on the Roger's Hospital Board and their Advocacy
and Outreach Committee. Our committee work at this time focuses on stigma
reduction, recognizing compassion fatigue and creating a toolkit for
compassion resilience. I would love to talk to anyone who would like to
learn more, but in the meantime please see below for a link to WISE....a
great initiative to end stigma. Personal stories are so impactful and on
the other end of a storyteller is a listener. I'm so glad to be a member
of a group of people who listen with compassion.
