I've had success with a stain remover I bought at bed bath & beyond
I can't remember the name of it
But it gets things that have been set for quite a while
a friend of mine who was an apartment manager used it on carpets all the
time
And another friend and Vermont said yeah if you spill coffee in your car
it's the best way to get the coffee stain out
When I get home I'll look up the name of it
