 to signs of mental illness and substance-use disorders in youths
 Monday, April 29
 Register by this Friday, April 26An area-wide Youth Mental Health First Aid Training event to teach how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance-use disorders in adolescents (ages 12 to 18) will take place on Monday, April 29, at Jerusalem Empowered African Methodist Episcopal Church, 9540 W. Good Hope Rd., Milwaukee. Open to the entire community, it is especially appropriate for youth group leaders, all youth workers, teachers, school staff, parents, coaches, and camp counselors. Attendance for the full eight hours is required for those who want formal certification. Breakfast is from 8 a.m. until the 9 a.m. start of the program, which runs until 5 p.m. The co-sponsors are the Community Advocates Public Policy Institute, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Mental Health First Aid USA.
