Hi All,
For those of you who were at church on Easter Sunday, you may have seen (and tasted) the adorable Peeps cake that I made.  If you would like to replicate it for a spring function, or save it for next year, here is the recipe...
1 Devil's Food box cake (Pillsbury works best)1 jar of Pillsbury chocolate frosting1 package of plain chocolate wafer cookies (for the "dirt")1 package of shredded green wafer candy (for the "grass")1 package of candy flower decorations1 small package of candy Robin's Eggs2-3 packages of rabbit Peeps marshmallows, different colors make it fun.
Make cake according to directions on the box - use a 13 x 9 pan, bake as listed on the box.
Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
Mash up the chocolate wafers either in a food processor or put them in a bag and carefully hammer until desired "dirt" look.
Add "dirt" on top of the chocolate frosting.  Then sprinkle the green wafer shreds as the "grass" for the garden look.
Add candy flowers and Robin's Eggs.  Use toothpicks for the Peeps to keep them upright.
Enjoy!

P.S. The photo with this email is a little different than the cake I made, but very similar!
