LCUUC has participated in Waukesha County's Adopt A Highway program for almost the entire Century (since 2004). This program relies on organizations such as LCUUC to pick up trash along their assigned County Highways to make our roadways more attractive; and the organizations get publicity in the form of signs along the designated stretch of highway. Each participating organization commits to 3 cleanups per year. Our stretch of road is Highway E, from the intersection with K (northwest corner of LCUUC property) north to highway EF.
Please join in with our summer cleanup on Saturday August 4, from 10 until noon. Wear good walking shoes and gloves. We supply the bags, orange vests, and water. Meet at the front door at 10. Takes about 1-1/2 hours total, and is a nice sociable walk in addition to doing something to help our environment and publicize our church.
Per Waukesha County rules, children participating must be at least 11 years old or in 6th grade.
