Most of us in the Western Hemisphere are freezing or roasting (1/6/18)
Global T increases >
Atmos H2O vapor increases, & currents & winds change course >
Extreme T & extreme precipitation events increase
Global T & severe cold T events increase, both are true
Hi everyone,
I just tweeted this simplified explanation of how extreme cold temperature events and global temperature increase can both be true. I thought others might like to pass it along. Feel free to share in any form and edited.
AND,
Please join the Green Sanctuary committee Saturday night Jan 21st for the award winning HBO documentary, “How to Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can’t Change,” by Josh Fox. It’s a chance to see and feel climate change.
The trailer on YouTube.

This is not your ordinary science documentary. I recommend Leonardo DiCaprio’s “Before the Flood” for current scientific, regulatory and industrial innovation info on Climate Change. This is documentation of Josh Fox’s existential crisis as he comes to terms with hurricane Sandy almost in his backyard and his findings in the Amazon, some Pacific Islands, China and a few other spots.
There are few interviews with professionals but many talks with residents here. Josh and his small crew used a handheld and a drone camera only to capture the environmental and personal footage that makes me laugh and cry in turn.
“How To” is not just an emotional call for climate change activism though. Much of what Josh filmed you’d never see on our media channels, the China footage in particular. There’s substance and hope here not just heartache. Well worth the 2:07 run time, imho. I imagine some of us will stick around to discuss too.
Please feel free to invite your family and friends. You’ll be seeing more about this in upcoming LCUUC material.
Have a warm day,
Liz Kreml
