The wood from the emerald ash tree has been spoken for. Thank you Harry and Elisabeth.

Subject: [Lekooks] Firewood
As you can see from the picture, there is a huge stack of logs from the ash tree we cut down Saturday.
Help yourselves to them if you can use them for firewood - just make a donation to LCUUC as you see fit. Don't know what to do with the "monolith" trunk...any suggestions?
As for transporting the wood, Dr. Sue Lewis's informed recommendation is to not move firewood more than 25 miles. The insects are widespread throughout southern WI and up into Door County (and continuing to spread). So it would be safe to take wood home from church, but not to, say, take it from church to a cabin up north.
Meanwhile, we will be having a Winter Solstice bonfire (weather permitting) in the firepit area on the evening of December 21, as part of the Holiday Party. Don't know how long it will last...we have plenty of wood.
