Hello Gerry, this is George Paz Martin.

At times, it’s difficult for me to get wrapped-up in the holiday spirit when we know it’s not so cheery on this earth and right here at home too many people suffer. I encourage that we do what we can to help, whether large or small.

I’ve worked with homelessness for three decades and certainly understand that we all can help. In these most difficult times, I've organized this fundraiser with 100% of the money raised going to three homeless organizations that I’ve worked with and love.

Please join us this coming Sunday Evening, December 16th, at 7pm, at Lineman’s for our “Homeless Holidays Blues Benefit.” to help the MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary, Wisconsin Veterans Stand Down and Casa Maria.

we will sing our versions of classic holiday carols including “Dusty the Coal Man” sung to the tune of “Frosty the Snowman.” Afterwards, we will gather in Zeidler Union Square to repeat the carols for passersby, who will be invited to participate. In addition, several speakers will address topics such as: what it is like to live near a coal plant; the dangers of coal to our health; and the need to and feasibility of a transition to renewables.
