[Lekooks] Heartworm positive dog

Anyone out there have/had a dog test positive for heartworm WHILE ON 
THE PREVENTATIVE?
If so, did you opt for the expensive, painful, and 
activity-restricted protocol?
Based on everything I've read and heard, the disease can kill the dog 
AND the treatment can kill the dog! That's some choice to make!
