Just read in today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that Ed Garvey passed away. Here is the link to the article:

Ed was one of the luminaries who participated in our big Step It Up on Global Warming rally that LCUUC put on in 2007. Ed and Prof. George Stone were on Kathleen Dunn's program on WPR to publicize this event, and we had a huge crowd of over 200 people come to it at Lapham Peak to participate in the rally and sign a petition to our elected representatives to "step it up" and do something about global warming (that was almost 10 years ago, and they still haven't "stepped it up" as global temperatures and sea levels rise while the politicians in power pretend that nothing is happening).



Ed was truly a colorful character, and it was a pleasure to have known him.
