[Lekooks] Fw: Interest in drumming circle?

?I am currently serving as Chair of the Adult Enrichment Committee, and I am writing to see if anyone is interested in the possibility of joining a drumming circle, if one is offered at LCUUC.


Tom Kotlarek (a retired elementary school teacher, principal, and union organizer) currently leads a drumming circle at UU Church West on an ongoing, monthly basis.  Participants bring their own drum(s) and Tom leads the group with respect to particular rhythms, etc.  He said he would be willing to consider offering a drumming circle at our church on an ongoing basis, but only if there is considerable interest (10-12 participants to start).  He also pointed out that given LCUUC's location, our members may be interested in joining him at the Center for Well-Being on Cottonwood Avenue in Hartland, at least at first.  He leads a drumming circle there on the first Friday of each month.  He said this may be a way for members of LCUUC to try it out first and see if they are really interested in a drumming circle for the long-term, before he starts one at LCUUC.
