Hello All and a HUGE thank you for ALL of the volunteers and the support
that we experienced throughout our week.

The week went very well and our families enjoyed their time with us.

Important News:

1. We will get a date on the calendar for a "post host week" follow up
meeting. This will be a nice opportunity for all of us to reflect on our
participation in the program and discuss our host week's experiences
overall. All are invited to attend with thoughts and suggestions. Date
and location TBA.

2. It was suggested by a volunteer that we get follow up information on
the families and the program overall. This is a great idea and I will put
something together soon. In the meantime, please know that there is an
Alumni gathering every month for the families who have graduated. We are
welcome to attend and/or volunteer at these sessions. The session has
become a support group of sorts! As volunteers, we can visit, provide the
meal or babysit. I will get the details and March date in the next
communication.

3. David Tenncyk, Family Promise Executive Director, has resigned from his
post. He will be missed, he has cited personal reasons. Here is a section
of his email:

...."An excellent transition team has been put in place and they have
already assembled a great group of replacement candidates. In addition,
board president, Marjore Thompson, will be stepping in to fill any gaps
that may turn up during the transition. I am also working hard to make
sure my successor is handed the controls of a healthy, vibrant operation.
We anticipate the new director starting by the end of March.

We are now in our third year of operations and over 40 families have been
served in this program with more than half of them finding a long-term
place to live and the financial capacity to remain independent. We are
currently broadening our focus by establishing long-term support systems
for our alumni families to help ensure their long-term success.

Family Promise of Waukesha County has a bright future and I'm thankful and
proud to be part of its past."

Thank you ALL again so much for making the program possible. It is A LOT
to ask of individuals and churches and you all do it so willingly and
graciously!

gina
