Hi Lekooks - below find 5 references to events SOON to happen. Hope you can support some of them. Any questions, contact us. Distributed on behalf of the Social Justice Committee/BLM.

1. Join Tosa Together and Indivisible Tosa in mourning for the victims of hate in Charlottesville at a witness on Friday, Aug. 18th from 5:00 – 6pm at the corner of 76th and North Ave (meet on City Hall corner). We will peacefully line the sidewalk with signs denouncing hate and welcoming diversity to show that we value diversity, inclusion, equity and justice for all in Tosa and across the country. Bring your family, friends and signs with messages like “Hate Has No Home Here,” “Tosans Support Diversity,” “We Mourn with Charlottesville” “Hate No, Diversity Yes” “Diversity is Strength” “Love Not Hate” “Love is an American Value”

2. National Day of Action Against White Supremacy - Saturday, August 19, 12 noon - 1 pm, O’Donnell Park, Milwaukee. This National Day Of Action is being called for in response to Charlottesville by leadership in the Movement for Black Lives. SURJ (Standing Up for Racial Justice) MKE and UBLAC (Uplifting Black Liberation and Community) are inviting all community members and organizations to answer this call with us . Initial meeting point is the Orange Starburst sculpture in O'Donnell Park, where Wisconsin Ave meets Prospect Ave. Signage will be provided.

3. Sunday morning, Aug. 20, we continue standing up to racism and white supremacy with a public witness organized by First Unitarian Society of Milwaukee's Black Lives Matter team outside our church at 11:15 am.
