Yes, thank you!!  It is quite remarkable to think of all of the things that happen quietly behind the scenes to keep our church home looking cared for and beautiful!!  Although we don't always know exactly WHO our busy elves are, I know that we all appreciate the great work that they do....so a huge THANK YOU to all of those who do so much to make LCUUC the warm and welcoming space that it is!!  I should add that the same goes for services..... it amazes me how much planning and effort goes into each service. 

There is a series on NPR (I believe it is called "Invisibility") about just such things.  All of the things that happen in the world to make our lives what they are; so many people work hard to do things that we may/may not ever consciously recognize or think about, but take for granted.

The six fire ring benches and the wood rack were cleaned up and refinished by Al Haskell, Esther  Flakas, and Randy Dorn, and the south parking lot entrance sign was removed from its previous location on the north side of the drive, rotten posts replaced, and the sign relocated to the south side of the drive by combined efforts of Rick Campbell, Jim Hansen, Quentin Watson, Ray Grosch, John Kuhn, Greg Sanden, and Gerry Flakas.
