 Exploring Islam: Addressing difficult questions
 An interreligious conversation from Muslim, Christian & Jewish perspectives
The Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee is collaborating with Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon to hold a free event on Islam from 7 to 9 p.m. this Wednesday, April 27, at the church, 6031 W. Chapel Hill Rd., Mequon.
 
 Panelists include:
Janan Najeeb, President of the Milwaukee Muslim Women's Coalition and a resident of Mequon
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro, Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Shalom in Fox Point
Rev. Scott Hauser, Pastor of Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon
The event will focus on Islam, addressing difficult questions and basic teachings. It also will explore perspectives of the three faiths that trace their roots back to Father Abraham -- Islam, Christianity and Judaism -- on questions such as, "Do we all worship the same God? Do the faiths oppress women? How might God respond to those from various faiths who justify the destruction of life and property in God's name?" 
In February, the Interfaith Conference and the Brookfield-Elm Grove Interfaith Network (BEGIN) held an event on Islam with a different format at the Sunset Playhouse in Elm Grove. So many people came that the seats were all filled and latecomers had to be turned away. Crossroads church has a much larger seating capacity.
