Celebrate Arbor Day and reforest a local park

The Waukesha County Park System invites residents to celebrate Arbor Day and help plant 1,000 tree seedlings.

Plantingswill take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 30, at Fox RiverPark, W264 S4500 River Road; Minooka Park, 1927 E. Sunset Drive; andRetzer Nature Center, S14W28167 Madison St. 

The park entrancefees will be waived for the event. Preregister by Monday, April 25, at(262) 896-8074 or hglainyk at waukeshacounty.gov.

Arbor Day is an annual observance that celebrates the role of trees in our lives.
