 Promise of Waukesha County (our affiliate), has proposed a new model 
for hosting.  All of the participating congregations have  been asked to
 respond before February 9 with YES / LIKELY / NOT LIKELY / NO as to 
whether we will participate in the new program.  I need your input 
please.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">Proposed "Temporary Static Shelter Partnership"  BIG picture:</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">1. Families experiencing homelessness will stay at a site in Waukesha; 1210 Sentry Dr. Waukesha 53186   (April - Oct 2023)</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">2.
 Volunteers (2-5 individuals) will staff the shelter, providing a meal 
and hospitality from 5-8 pm for 1 to 5 families  (max 25 people) 7 days a
 week. We would be back to interacting with our guests in person. There 
will be trained personnel on site as well.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">3.
 Each congregation has been asked to commit to one night per month  
(April - Oct)  For example, we would request the third Tuesday of each 
month ...or whichever day we choose...  We provide 2-5 individuals 
once/month.<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">4.
 ALL volunteers who plan to be on-site will be required to fill out an 
application online and go through training.  The training is 2 online 
sessions and 1 in-person on-site training at the shelter.  All on-site 
volunteers will undergo a criminal background check. "Our" volunteers 
need not be just from our church. If you have a friend,coworker, or 
family member who would like to participate, they can sign on as part of
 our volunteer pool.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">5.
 Several other volunteer opportunities exist, some trained and some not 
requiring training, some requiring additional training (Lead volunteer).
 Minors can volunteer with adults.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">6.  The apartment shelter will continue to run but we will not have any responsibilities for those families. <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">I
 would like to have a commitment of interest/willingness to participate 
at a trained level from 15-20 or more individuals.  I do not want to 
reply with a "likely" or a "not likely", I feel that we should be able 
to give a solid yes or no.  <br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">I
