We reduced overall mowed areas to keep the property more natural and make it easier and more efficient for those who volunteer their time to mow. The dandelions are the only flowers that get clipped off, and only for a day before they’re back. My concern is that in the areas where the grass grows vigorously there will be a foot of grass to mow by the end of the month, and the clippings will be a mess to deal with for the rest of the summer. I’m concerned how it will make the property look, right there on the corner of K and E. I do think it’s great we have the unmowed areas.
