The dandelions are the only flowers that get clipped off, and only for a day before they’re back. My concern is that in the areas where the grass grows vigorously there will be a foot of grass to mow by the end of the month, and the clippings will be a mess to deal with for the rest of the summer. I’m concerned how it will make the property look, right there on the corner of K and E. I do think it’s great we have the unmowed areas. I think we need to hear Amy Seay’s and Sarah Ehrhardt’s opinions, as they are the ones that have put the most thought into planning and maintaining the landscape. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>John<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><div style='border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in'><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif'>From:</span></b><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif'> Lekooks [<a href="mailto:lekooks-bounces@lekook.org">mailto:lekooks-bounces@lekook.org</a>] <b>On Behalf Of </b>Fran B. via Lekooks<br><b>Sent:</b> Friday, May 06, 2022 5:27 PM<br><b>To:</b> Karl Timm; Gerald Flakas; <a href="mailto:lekook@lekook.org">lekook@lekook.org</a><br><b>Subject:</b> Re: [Lekooks] Help pollinators (and get a break from mowing your lawn) by joining 'no mow May' : NPR<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Assuming you are not spraying, the dandelions, violets and even creeping Charlie, provide food for emerging native bees and other pollinators. <o:p></o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div><div id=ms-outlook-mobile-signature><p class=MsoNormal>Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone<br>Get <a href="https://aka.ms/AAb9ysg">Outlook for Android</a><o:p></o:p></p></div><div class=MsoNormal align=center style='text-align:center'><hr size=2 width="98%" align=center></div><div id=divRplyFwdMsg><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black'>From:</span></b><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black'> Lekooks <<a href="mailto:lekooks-bounces@lekook.org">lekooks-bounces@lekook.org</a>> on behalf of Karl Timm via Lekooks <<a href="mailto:lekooks@lekook.org">lekooks@lekook.org</a>><br><b>Sent:</b> Friday, May 6, 2022 5:09:47 PM<br><b>To:</b> Gerald Flakas <<a href="mailto:gerflak@aol.com">gerflak@aol.com</a>>; <a href="mailto:lekook@lekook.org">lekook@lekook.org</a> <<a href="mailto:lekook@lekook.org">lekook@lekook.org</a>><br><b>Subject:</b> Re: [Lekooks] Help pollinators (and get a break from mowing your lawn) by joining 'no mow May' : NPR</span> <o:p></o:p></p><div><p class=MsoNormal> <o:p></o:p></p></div></div><div><div><p class=MsoNormal>Our lawn gets lots of dandelions which should help the bees.
