The focus shifted to preventing homelessness. While prevention continues to be a priority, we are back to serving in a limited way by housing a family in an apartment that Family Promise rents. We have successfully housed one family and hope to build our way up to hosting up to four families in four apartments over time. The plan is to return to the old rotating model when it is safe to do so.<br class=""></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br class=""></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">Our host week is March 21-27. Those who would like to help out by providing whatever is asked of us that week need NOT be trained volunteers. We will not be in direct contact with our family (ies). We may be asked for food, prepared meals, gift cards, hygiene products, etc.... We will not know what is needed until the week before we host. I will be in touch with you as we get closer to that date. <br class=""></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br class=""></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">Other opportunities:</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"> 1 - be a handy"person" on call during the day to help with minor fixes/repairs in the apartment<br class=""></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"> 2 - be part of a limited cleaning crew to clean the apartment(s) between families</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"> 3 - volunteer to update the area church database (work from home).
