<p>I would like to let you know about an opportunity for grandparents and grandchildren to spend a couple of fun days together at a university.  University of Wisconsin- Whitewater is offering Grandchildren's University June 24-25.  Grandparents and grandchildren

 pick a "major" when they register.  Majors include Freshwater Biology (I am teaching this one), Archeology, Astronomy, Art Metals, or Paleontology.  Each "major" offers lots of hands-on activities.  For example, in mine, we will put on waders and look for

 macroinvertebrates in a stream, use microscopes, etc.  In the astronomy major, they will learn about the Milky Way and get to use the observatory at night.  </p>

<p>Those who register have the option of staying on campus in a dorm room, or commuting.</p>
